This 2023 edition (2nd) of IEC 61869-1 consolidates and updates general requirements for instrument transformers, incorporating the previous IEC 61869-6:2016 content into Part 1, extending scope to higher-voltage applications, and adding new type, routine and special test classifications as well as expanded commissioning and annex material. It also sets accuracy limits for both analogue and digital outputs and addresses bandwidth, harmonic accuracy and anti‑aliasing filter requirements.
