IEC TR 62559-1:2019 — Use case methodology - Part 1: Concept and processes in standardization. This Technical Report sets out the concepts, background and collaborative processes for creating and managing a common use-case repository within the IEC. Abstract

IEC TR 62559-1:2019 introduces the IEC 62559 series by describing the overall concept of a standardized use-case methodology, the types of use cases, key terms and the processes required to collect, review and harmonize use cases on a common collaborative repository. It explains how use cases feed into standards development, identifies responsibilities for repository management and clarifies which operational/tool-specific documentation is out of scope (those are provided separately and may be updated online).
